We want to share our lives a bit more of our personal lives on this blog so we hope to start posting a little more on that as we go. :) Sebastian is the new joy in our lives. If you have been following our blog long enough you'll know we have two god-daughters and now we have one more god-child, this time a little boy! His momma is our really good friend and makeup extraordinaire Kay Castro. Kay is actually the reason that Cesar and I got together, she made it happen! So it's so awesome that almost 8 years later we're still great friends and asked us to be the god-parents to Sebastian. It's such a HUGE responsibility but we're totally up for it. He is one of the cutest kids EVER! We fell in love as soon as we saw him. He is utter perfection.
Here are a couple of pictures taken of Kay 2 days before she gave birth to Sebastian. We only shot a few frames but loved it. She was gorgeous as always. |
| I forgot what I said to make her laugh but she thought it was pretty funny. :) |

| Puerto Rico : Day 5 + 6 |
 |
| Day 5 + 6 ended up kind of getting jumbled together. We're heading home tomorrow for at least 2 days so we will post a few more pics from our last day as soon as we get back. Saturday we shot an AMAZING wedding for some awesome people. More commentary to come on their full post soon. :) Sunday we were too tired to do anything other than walk around a bit and relax so the camera stayed home! I know, that's NO excuse! :) Here is a little teaser from Saturday: |

| Puerto Rico : Day 3 |
 |
| We're staying in the historic Old San Juan area of Puerto Rico and the variety of colors is just our cup of tea! Last night we headed out to dinner with some friends and family of the couple we are shooting on Saturday and ended up back on the side of Isla Verde near all of the hotels/casinos. We hung out on the $2 minimum tables which was hilarious, we didn't even know those existed! Here are some of the cool doors we saw while venturing around Old San Juan. |

| Puerto Rico : Day 2 |
 |
| We're on vacation! Well sort of. :) We are shooting a wedding here in Puerto Rico this coming up Saturday and decided to come up more than a few days early and stay late. Our first day yesterday was a bit crazy with delayed flights and all kinds of plane issues but it was all worth it because it is absolutely beautiful here. We are loving the culture, the scenery, and the people. We are hoping to be able to blog a few pictures every day while we are here. We brought out our cameras for a little while close to sunset and got a few pictures of the area we are staying in. The middle picture is of the apartment we are staying in and of the street. We're right down the street from the beach too! :) |

| Happy 4 Year Anniversary |
 |
When I was young I used to tell everyone that I would never marry young, and wouldn't ever settle. I got one of those right, I definitely didn't settle! 4 years ago today I married the man of my dreams... the one I tried to draw.
No matter how horrible of a housewife I am, can't cook to save my life, my desk is the messiest thing you will ever see I know he loves me with all of his being and that is all I will ever need.
We have both been really sick the last few days hence the reason for the lack of posts but next week we have lots to show you guys . :) Today, we are going to try and relax and enjoy our anniversary.
Here is my favorite picture from a shoot we did with our friends at Contemporary Portraits here in Dallas recently. |

| New Orleans - Image X |
 |
Last week in the midst of our crazy lives we headed out to Midland to shoot a wedding and then headed straight from Midland to New Orleans for the Image X Workshop. We always walk away from any convention/seminar with great friends and newly inspired and energized about our business. Even if we learn one single thing that will improve us as photographers, it makes it all worth it. We are always striving to be better we were yesterday. Jessica Claire was by far more than what we ever expected. We had never met her before but she was amazing. Completely open and honest with us... it was so refreshing. Victor Sizemore taught us so many cool light-room tips, as well as shared his actions with us, which are pretty cool! On the first day of shooting with Jessica, everyone had to make sure they got 3 different shots. One of them was "Make sure you take a picture that you think defines your style." Our brains were boggled for a few minutes but here are our two shots. Such different perspectives, we loved it. Didn't hurt that the models were so gorgeous.

| Cesar + Tanya : Part 2 |
 |
Vanessa + Jessica of Contemporary portraits are such sweet girls. They had e-mailed us a while back wanting to meet up for lunch or dinner and asked if they could photograph us. I will admit, I was reluctant at first, I think I am completely unphotogenic. (Is that even a word?) But we ended up having a lot of fun hanging out with them and having our pictures taken. It is always SO weird to be on the other side of the camera and it's always to make great new friends! Vanessa + Jessica, thanks so much for offering to do these for us. Here are some that we've seen so far, check us out!
My makeup was done by one of my best friends, Kay Castro. I am lucky to have such awesome friends. She is amazing and I love her. :)
**On a side note: We will be signing the lease to our new studio next week in Addison. We are SUPER excited and we will be posting pictures of the whole process. Starting with the location next week. :)

| Cesar was adamant about wearing a bow-tie for the shoot. |
(Saw this on a few other people's blogs so I thought it would be cool to do)
I AM
excited and scared all at the same time.
I WANT
to eat healthier food.
I HAVE
pain in my neck and upper back that's barely going away.
I KEEP... lists and more lists.
I WISH I COULD
have no fear.
I HATE
my thick thighs.
I FEAR
failure.
I HEAR
Cesar watching Juno for like the 10th time.
I DONT THINK
that there are enough hours in the day or it never feels that way.
I REGRET
not working out this week or the week before.
I LOVE
Cesar.
I AM NOT
going to be someone I am not.
I DANCE
when no one's watching. Literally, when no one is watching. :)
I SING
all the time. Even if Cesar turns up the radio a little bit more when I do.
I NEVER
say no to Cheesecake. Hence the reason for the thighs! :)
I RARELY
wake up before 9.
I CRY WHEN I WATCH
Grey's Anatomy.
I AM NOT ALWAYS
as good of a house wife as I should be.
I HATE THAT
I hate to work out.
IM CONFUSED ABOUT
what to write on this commercial lease application.
I NEED
at least 8 hours of sleep to function properly.
I SHOULD
Go to Sleep.

| Happy 1 Year Anniversary |
 |
This past week was our blogs One-Year anniversary and we didn't want to forget. We really have been blessed this year and we couldn't be more thankful.
So we haven't blogged in little while ... we have been taking it easy with this crazy Texas heat. We took this past week off to work on marketing material for some upcoming shows we are doing with a coordinator and one for a magazine that we are in. We felt we really needed to just take a full week off to really get all of those things done and boy was it great. We've been working non-stop almost daily for the past few months and it was very much needed. A few things that are going on in our lives: Possible Studio. The one that we had originally gotten a few months ago didn't really work out as planned logistically. So we are now in the paper process of getting a studio in an awesome area that we have always loved. (More details to come on that) This time we promise to post pictures of the whole process - from beginning to end. We also hope to have a small shindig that everyone can come out to. We also might be moving during that time closer to where the possible studio space is. So on top of a new studio and renovating it to our liking, we will be moving, and shooting weddings every weekend till mid December. And In between all of that we have a few out of town and out of state weddings. It's going to be CRAZY! Anyway, I will stop my ramblings, more stuff to come later this week
:)
