So as you blog readers know we went to California to have our pictures taken, but we were approached by Arden and Ilram because they had heard we were heading to California and wanted some pictures taken of them. Arden is a model based out of Los Angeles and Ilram is an actor also based out of California. Be sure to click on his name to check out some of his work! We were completely amazed and honored to have the opportunity to shoot them. Santa Monica was a beautiful location to shoot at, a bit cold but nonetheless beautiful! Thanks to Ilram for suggesting it. We definitely had a kick asss time shooting them and hope they like the pictures. This one has to be one of our favorites! Loved the look and the beautiful sun in the back...

How could we live in Texas??? You were right David, the weather was absolutely gorgeous in California! We think the beaches and weather definitely outweigh the horrible 405 traffic. :) We hope we get to come back sooooon. Here are a few shots that we got yesterday while having our photos taken by Jasmine*. We'll keep you guys posted as soon as those are up. :) We had a blast and she made us feel super comfortable the whole time. We have to say that she is super sweet...definitely beautiful inside and out. Thanks so much for everything Jasmine!

So tonight while having dinner at Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse for the first time with our friends Fernando and Rocio we got to see some celebrities – The American Idol Judges (Paula, Simon and Randy) plus Ryan Seacrest. They actually came in and sat down at the table next to us... security and all! It’s weird to see famous people in person because they look like themselves just different – like real people. Anyway! In a few hours we fly out to California for a few days. We haven't even started packing yet! We’re off to do a shoot on Monday and we are so excited that this will be our first time shooting in California. We will also be on the “OTHER” side of the camera this time having our photos taken with the beautiful and talented Jasmine*. When we got married almost three years ago we never did engagement pictures and to be completely honest we hated our wedding pictures. And now being wedding photographers we mostly definitely regret that decision. So this in a sense will be our engagement session. We will also be using these photographs for our “About Us” Section. We are so nervous and excited! On a side note: We will be out of the office until September 28th but will have e-mail access from California so if you guys need anything please feel free to shoot us an e-mail.

I got the opportunity to photograph Marisol's maternity pictures yesterday evening. Marisol is an old high school friend of mine and a good friend to me and my wife. She is ready to pop! Anna, Vincent and I were finally able to get together to shoot their engagement photos this afternoon. We had to previously cancel two times because of the crazy weather in Dallas! It rains for days then stops for a little bit … then starts again. Thankfully the weather is really beautiful right now. We’re hoping it stays that way! Anna is the sister of a recent bride of mine, Marisela, and is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Anna and Vincent are so in love. We can’t wait for their wedding in November. We know it’s going to be super full of emotion and laughter!

We were able to hang out at Ghostbar this weekend at the W Hotel in Dallas for one of our friend Sebastian's Birthday. None of us had ever been but it was a lot of fun. Lots of pretty people and a gorgeous view from the 33rd floor! We thought we had taken lots of pictures with the point and shoot but this was the only one we were able to salvage. This is a picture of Rocio, one of our best friends and I. I have known Rocio since I was 14 years old and have been friends ever since she started dating Fernando who she eventually married a couple of years back. We have so much fun when we hang out with these two, which is pretty much all the time. We're the luckiest people in the world to have such great friends and family who support us in everything we do. :) Love you Rocio! - Tanya

Tanya and I both had the pleasure of shooting Nakita and Eric's wedding yesterday. Both the ceremony and reception were held at Eric's godparents home in Dallas, everything was absolutely beautiful. Including Nakita's gorgeous Alfred Sung dress. Here are some of our favorites... Hope you guys have fun on your honeymoon! Don't want to write where they are going on this post because Nakita doesn't know the location yet! :) On a side note: We had stopped putting the pink P's on the pictures Tanya was taking but we decided to bring that back. This is Bumper... Isn't he a super cute dog! I want one. :)

It was definitely hard to choose our favorites from this wedding... Last night we had the pleasure of shooting Ginger and Phillip's wedding at the Arlington Museum of Art. This wedding was definitely one of the more original weddings we have shot in quite a while. The bride wore a beautiful red Asian/Indian inspired gown and the tassels on her gown inspired the bouquets as well as the wedding cake design. Their first dance was completely hilarious they definitely had everyone fooled... It started off as a slow dance and then the record started to skip and they had everyone thinking it had skipped accidentally but it sure didn’t! They broke into song and dance to a really fast song that they had practiced. Ginger’s belly dancing instructor made a guest appearance that was also a big highlight of the evening. We had a blast shooting this wedding. Ginger and Phillip, thank you so much for your kindness and easygoing spirits, have a great honeymoon!

This was the first time he looked at her after her parents had just walked her down the aisle.
